Really...she's here! Bet you didn't know we were in the market for a new baby, right? Well we've been considering trading our Envoy in for something with a little more room. About 2 weeks ago we decided to just tough it out with the Envoy. But then it died in the middle of the road and I was barely able to get it off the road! My first thought was, oh well, there will be a Lone Tree cop driving by any minute now since there seems to be more cops in Lone Tree than anywhere else in CO. We never saw cop cars in Littleton...now I see 2 or 3 every day on the way to work! Well, I was right, a cop came and just kept driving by. Then another one, in a Hummer H3 (why do taxpayers pay for Hummer H3 cop cars in a metro area anyway?) He was nicer, he slowed down, looked at me, then kept driving. And guess what, a third one drove by too! None of them stopped to help out. Soon the battery was going dead and my hazard lights were starting to die too. But lucky for me a bounty hunter pulled up and blocked the rear end of my vehicle to keep it from getting slammed into while my flashers weren't working! Seriously, the only one to stop was a bounty hunter, he even gave me his card.
Anyway, it needed a new battery, some manifold sensor, spark plugs, tires, brakes, shocks, alignment, tranny flush, and the transfer case needed serviced. It had 136k miles on it and needed about $3,000 worth of work. But only a couple hundred to make it driveable to a dealership! So we opted for that.
We looked at some Honda Odyssey's, Toyota Siennas, Kia Sedona, Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, and a few other options. But the best deal we found was on a 2007 Honda Odyssey EX. It had 41k miles on it and everything we wanted including cloth interior and seating for 8. The leather in the Envoy was sure nice, but in the summer it was real hot and sticky!! So we wanted cloth this time around.
Anyway, long story short, we got a great deal on it and we took some pictures....
As you can tell, Cache loves the extra room! He likes that the doors open by themselves and LOVES the huge windows! I like that he doesn't kick the back of my seat anymore. He hasn't had a tantrum yet in the new van...maybe he'll bless us with one on our way to AZ.
